Break the Cycle of Children's Mental Illnesses

THANK YOU FOR MAKING BREAK THE CYCLE A HUGE SUCCESS!

AACAP’s Break the Cycle campaign was a cross-country bike ride that raised both awareness and the much-needed funds in support of children with mental illnesses. This amazing effort covered 5,067 miles, 20 states, and 60 days.

The incredible momentum from the ride – fueled by AACAP members’ and the mental health community’s passion – raised over $250,000! Your generosity helped raise awareness and support to (1) fund innovative research initiatives, (2) increase the number of child and adolescent psychiatrists, and (3) help ensure that children suffering in silence get the treatment they need.

Along the way many friends, members, regional organizations, supporters, and media joined the Break the Cycle movement by donating, taking the pledge, riding, hosting events and more.

Thank you for joining us on this journey and spreading the word that children's mental illnesses are REAL, COMMON, and TREATABLE.

AACAP always remains committed to promoting the healthy development of children, adolescents, and families. We hope you also continue to help Break the Cycle of limited access to mental health care for children and families.
